iPhone 7 Notes keeps quitting when opens

After upgraded to latest iOS 10.0.2, I was using Notes to enter data, then it crashed and jumped back to home screen. It quits every time when I tries to open it. If I turn on airplane mode to stop network, then it's ok to edit locally. Problem is the sync with server. Please help how to fix this issue?

Hi tonymia,

I understand that after updating to iOS 10, you are unable to open Notes without the app crashing immediately. I know it's important to have all of your apps working properly, so I'm happy to help.

Before you begin troubleshooting, I recommend that you first create a backup of your data. Take a look at this page for more information on this process:

First, log into iCloud.com on a computer and ensure that your notes are still present there.

If they are, then let's proceed with toggling your Notes off and on again. To do this, open Settings > iCloud on your iPhone. In here, turn off Notes, and when asked you can delete them from your iPhone since they are in iCloud. Once off, go ahead and enable it again and then test your Notes app.
